A cosy yet glamorous living room designed for family time, film nights and stylish entertaining.
Project Brief
A lovely couple with a large family wanted a lounge that felt both cosy and indulgent. They were drawn to Art Deco style with a hint of glamour and needed a space that worked for family film nights as well as evening cocktails with friends.
Green was a must-have, along with a design that complemented their favourite wedding photo.
Design Process
We began with a shared Pinterest board and a selection of green paint samples, which we tested during our consultation. Embracing the room’s low natural light, we chose Little Greene’s Puk – a rich green that added depth and made the white woodwork pop.
With the colour set, the rest flowed. A curved velvet sofa softened the bay window and echoed the Art Deco feel, echoed in the round tables, sculptural lighting, and brushed gold accents. Plush textures and layered lighting added warmth, creating a space that felt indulgent yet practical.
By working with the room’s natural light, we created a bold, welcoming space — rich in character, elegant in finish, and perfect for family life and entertaining.
“It’s now my favourite room in the house. I barely used it before and didn’t enjoy being in there. Your input was invaluable — you really do have an eye for interior design.
