About Farr Better Interiors

It’s really about you — and the home you want to create

I’m Jo Farr, an interior designer based in Hertfordshire. I help people create homes that reflect their personality and support their wellbeing — with a thoughtful, collaborative approach.

Your space should reflect who you are and support how you want to feel — because good design isn’t just about how it looks, it’s about how it lives.

Having studied art and design, and with over 12 years’ experience in interior design, decorating, and renovation, I bring a strong sense of colour, pattern, and personality to every project.

I’m also a qualified wellbeing coach and have studied how creativity supports emotional wellbeing — something I draw on to make the design process feel collaborative, confidence-boosting, and genuinely enjoyable.

My approach is all about helping you shape a space that feels like home — not just visually, but emotionally too.

What it’s like to work with me? Let me tell you a story.

Lesley had lived in her beautiful apartment for five years — but it just didn’t feel like her..

She had ideas and some colours she loved, but so many choices felt overwhelming.

She worried about making mistakes and wasting money, so she put off making decisions.

That’s when she got in touch.

We started with how she wanted to feel in the space — calm, luxurious with a bit of joyful colour.

Together we explored colours, fabrics, and layouts that reflected her personality, and I helped her gain confidence in the design choices.

I brought ideas and structure; she brought her instincts. And along the way, the process became not just manageable — but exciting and delightful.

“Meeting Jo and working with her has been joyous and a lot of fun… I absolutely LOVE the results — I could not have done it without her.” Lesley.

In the end, Lesley’s home felt like a true reflection of her: thoughtful, vibrant, and elegant.

My aim for every project is an uplifting journey to create a space that truly feels like home.
